This is the wonderful OBGYN that delivered Brady!

Our adoption agency had a huge, fundraising gala last night...complete with a silent and live auction, as well as a raffle. Michael was hoping we'd walk out with the LCD tv and I had my eye on the cruise. Maybe next year! We walked away instead with a simple sense of affirmation that God is at work within our little agency. It was so encouraging to hear the testimonies of lives changed through the miracle of adoption and to see the precious children placed in Christian families.

One of the biggest highlights for me was to be able to meet the man that helped bring Brady into this world! The OBGYN that offered his services free of charge to Brady's birthmother was there at the gala last night. Brady's birthmother had a major complication post delivery...one of three catastrophic things that can go wrong during delivery. Brady's doctor has been in practice 22 years and this was the 3rd time he'd ever had this happen. We praise God for him because he not only took amazing care of Brady, but our sweet birthmother. Thanks to God using this man's quick mind and expertise, Brady's birthmother is okay. We have much to be thankful for. So, it was with much joy that we got to personally thank him for his role in Brady's life, his birthmother's life, and in our lives. What a special moment that was for me and I was happy beyond words to capture it on film!

Since this is National Adoption Awareness month...please take a moment to recognize the need for homes for the 143 million orphans in the world. Pray for families and children to be united by this special gift of adoption.
